  • What is CBD oil?
CBD is short for cannabidiol. It is one of the chemical compounds from the Cannabis sativa plant also known as hemp. It's a naturally occurring non psychoactive substance. CBD oil in particular is an extract collected from approved hemp varieties. Some of the most common ways CBD is used is in products like oils, vapes, smokables, edibles and more.
  • Is CBD Oil legal?
Yes, After the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill hemp-derived CBD is legal in all 50 states on a federal level. Hemp strains need to be approved to by the state prior to cultivation. Once approved, the plants are tested by the state prior to harvest. If the THC levels are equal to or less than 0.3% than a certificate called a “fit for commerce” is granted to the grower allowing the farmer to legally harvest and sell the plant as hemp under federal law.  Hemp-derived CBD oil can then be extracted from hemp plants. Once extracted it is highly concentrated. From here it is diluted with an oil based substance (Coconut, hemp seed, or olive) to allow a concentration of less than or equal to 0.3% THC when sold to you, the consumer.
  • Does CBD contain THC?
The short answer is “Yes”. However, the trace amounts of THC in the extract will go unnoticed. CBD and THC are two separate phytocannabinoids that are naturally occurring in the hemp plant with other compounds. Because our product is considered a full spectrum 100% organic oil there will be a concentration of less than or equal to 0.3% THC in our products.
  • Why CBD oil in general?

People have more cannabinoid receptors than any other class of receptors. From these receptors our body determines how it will react to pain, inflammation, allergic responses, sleep, and much more. Our cannabinoid receptors are found all over our body and CBD oil is theorized with helping the balancing of our mind and body. However due to federal regulations we cannot make any claims of the potential benefits of CBD oil. We strongly urge everyone to find their own resources and do the appropriate research on the different affects CBD oil can have.

  • Will I get high from CBD?

No, CBD oil extracted from hemp plants and will not get you high. CBD oil from hemp plants are cultivated to produce more CBD and less THC. Hemp derived CBD will have the legal amount of less than or equal to 0.3% THC and therefore not give you the “high” feeling that THC in marijuana would.

  • Will I fail a drug test if I take CBD?
Taking CBD products that contain THC can increase your chances of failing a drug test.
  • How does CBD work?
Our body naturally has an endocannabinoid system. The Endocannabinoid system helps balance our bodies functions like sleep, memory, mood, pain, appetite, and many more. When our bodies have an issue it will naturally release its cannabinoids. Sometimes our bodies can't keep up with the need of cannabinoids. This is where CBD comes in. CBD does not replace or add to the endocannabinoid system but instead it slows the breakdown and encourages our bodies to naturally replenish our system.
  • Do you perform testing on your products?
The hemp used in all of our products is USDA certified organic. Our products are third party lab tested to meet our quality standards.
  • Why should we choose certified organic?
We are certified through MOSA so our soils and growing practices are tested annually to make sure we are in compliance with USDA organic standards. That means we don’t use any synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or dyes. We do this in order to reduce our environmental impact. Also, by not using any genetically modifying substances we help to protect our cherished wildlife population and prevent any toxic runoff into our streams and waterways
  • Explain your CBD Oil Extraction Process?

We use a Wisconsin based USDA organic certified processor called Partnered Process. After we drop off our recently dried and shucked hemp they turn the biomass into crude and distillate CBD oil for us in their processing facility.

“We at Partnered Process are a Wisconsin based botanical processor, specializing in small batch methods. Our Tru-transparency approach ensures a quality product allowing you to experience Hemp's full potential.”

  • What is different about the pet friendly tincture?

Our normal tincture is made with organic MCT coconut oil. The pet tincture is manufactured with organic hemp seed oil. Some studies have shown that certain animals (cats for example) have a harder time digestion MCT coconut oil. In addition, our products are all produced to the same standards. This product can also be great for those people who either want an all plant-based product or have coconut allergies.

  • What’s the difference between Isolate, Distillate, and Crude?

Crude is formed after the extraction process from the hemp biomass. Crude is a full-spectrum material meaning it includes CBD and all other compounds from the hemp biomass. This is the raw material prior to distillation.

CBD distillate is further refined than crude and usually 50-80% CBD. The other 20-50% of the distillate has many natural cannabinoids, terpenes, and hemp plant compounds.

CBD isolate is the most pure form of CBD generally 99%+ CBD with only trace amounts of other compounds. Almost all of the natural Cannabinoids, terpenes, and other natural hemp plant compounds have been removed from the product.

  • What’s the difference between full spectrum and broad spectrum CBD oil?

The biggest difference between the two is, full spectrum will have a small amount of THC (less than or equal to 0.3%) and broad spectrum has the THC removed. Cannabis plants contain more than 120 different Phytocannabinoids. These phytocannabinoids act on your endocannabinoid system, which works to keep your body in homeostasis (also known as CBD and THC are two of the most popular of these 120 phytocannabinoids. CBD, THC, and other phytocannabinoids can be taken separately and together. Research has suggested, that when taken together, phytocannabinoids and terpenes (additional smaller organic compounds within the cannabis plant) may possibly be more beneficial than when taken separately, this is called the entourage effect. This is a theory that suggest that cannabis compounds work better when taken together than when taken separately.

  • How much CBD do I need?
The amount of CBD that you need has multiple factors to consider for your optimum dosage. There is no one-size-fits-all dosage recommendation. Dosages depend on your weight, age, gender, condition, body makeup, and the CBD concentration that you are using in either gummy, topical, or oil. Recommendation is to start with a lower amount and increase dosage until desired results are obtained. Always consult a medical professional before modifying your diet or using any new product.
